Teaching you how to teach your baby to read
Age 1, not Grade 1
With a lifelong love for babies and children, I have educational and professional backgrounds in the fields of psychology and education. As an undergraduate, I majored in psychology while completing coursework and internships for elementary education certification.
I earned a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in the field of industrial organizational psychology. This field applies psychological understanding and principles to the workplace. Although much of my career has been focused on the adult world in work organizations, my background in psychology and education has fueled a parallel passion and personal interest in child development. I have taught college classes in child development, and have had a lifetime of experience caring for babies and children in child care, education, and nanny roles.
With this education, experience, and interest as my background, I have raised my own three children, and taught each of them to read by age 3 1/2. I discovered this possibility through research on developmental learning. This process inspired me to develop my Word Immersion curriculum for teaching babies and toddlers to read.
I am thrilled to share my expertise with other parents and caregivers in my role as Baby Reading Coach. Guiding parents through this miraculous process as their toddlers become early readers is such a joy - the natural power of baby's brains never ceases to amaze! I look forward to supporting you through your journey to give the marvelous gift of reading to your child at a critical and precious time in their development.
